Adults with speech and communication disorders

Are there other websites, courses, therapies or any information

regarding adults who have speech and language problems like speech

impairment, communication skill deficency, and public speaking

disability?

All my life, I have bad speech promblems, I stutter, I slur many

times, I can't put words into sentenses in time when I have make

explainations, I couldn't speak my mind right, sometimes by accident

I mix up words in time tenses. It became so bad growing up, I lost

complete confidence in myself with social interaction. I couldn't

make friends very well, I can't strike up a conversation, mostly

everyone I talked to doesn't understand what I say, it's very hard

for me to express myself verbally because of it. Not only it became

a social problem, but also a very emotional problem.

I had a few speech teachers from school during my childhood, I

barely had any results. It's better if I have a professional speech

therapist, but I couldn't afford it and I'm not sure if they take

medicaid as payment or not.

I'm looking for a clerical job or internship in the music industry.

Most of the positions in this field require strong vebal

communication skills as well as written. That's what is holding me

back.

Can anyone in this group help me? If not, can you direct me some

place else where I could get some help or information that is free

of charge? Thank you very much.
