Guest guest
I had both plasma DHEA and plasma DHEA sulfate done. My DHEA is critically low at 38, but my DHEA sulfate is 207. Which one is more accurately reflective of true DHEA levels. I ask because according to all the docs and books I've read, the lower the DHEA, the sooner breakdown of body and death is coming (sorry to sound morbid). Teitelbaum states in his book " From Fatigued to Fantastic " that women need levels to be between 180-200 (that of a 29 year old) but Dr. Norman Shealy (who I think I trust more) says that these levels would still be quite deficient and that optimal levels for health in a female should be at least 400.
