No the Thyroid testing it is fine ot take ANY hormones with even

thyroid. But wiht your adrenals weak I would not take thyroid until they

are supported. These HIGH pred doses will FINISH your adrenals. 50MG

pred equals 200MG HC!

I have been on the 5o mg. of Pred. for three days. Tommorow, will be my fourth

day. Because I am on two medications for depression, I feel it is making my mood

off. By afternoon I am numb or depressed. I take it real early so in the

morning. I am not sleeping more than three hours e,ven prior to going to the ER.

The week I had the cold even ,with taking a small does of sleeping medication I

was awake after a couple hours. Prior to this, I was able to sleep with

medication.

I am definently on my way to getting help coming off medication and onto

natural remidies, but do to my long use on them I have to be weaned of properly

and make sure my cortisol is getting on better track and then see if my low

thyroid levels out. I have HC if that would be a better way to wean down off

the Pred.

Honestly I have never helped anyone come off that high a dose of Pred. And I

don't understand why they gave you THAT high a dose for a cold. I do nto feel

comfortable tyring ot help you come off it for these reasons, and I think you

should call your doctor and ask for a taper down schedule. Tell them the dose is

bothering you and making you feel not right and you fear what will happen if oyu

just stop it. You will have to be very adamant to get them ot TALK I imagine. I

really feel this should be your course of action.

Hi ,

I spoke to my own doctor's nurse this afternoon and she asked the doctor and

he said I should break the rest of the Pred. inhalf and take it that way. Now

as you told me I have to be off any steroids for two weeks before I can take

the tests ,the last one I take is tommorow so I have to pray that I do not get

worse when I stop the Pred. Two weeks is a long time if I get sick again. They

are out of the office ,I think, until next week. She told me to take my vitamin

B-12 shots every four to five days. It is the ER staff that seemed somewhat

incompetent. The ER doctor seemed to get what I was saying about having low

adrenals so this is why he most likely put me in the Pred. because the bad cold

was getting worse after a week , but that high of a level is not right. The

cold for now is gone ,but as you are well aware of, Pred. and other steroids

mask symptoms.

leave the house Sa.t and today for a couple hours. That is amazing. Now if Ican

stay stable until I get the blood work and salvia test done ,Ican then be put on

the right medication.
