Guest guest
That 100 wasn't for me, my goal weight is 150, LOL. Unfortunately it's quite easy to SAY we'll never let this happen to us again. I swore I would never be fat again. Then I had a miscarriage and ate for comfort. Then I got pregnant. Now I'm still nursing, but since he's almost a year old the hormone/metabolism thing seems to be settling down because I appear to have the resolve and the energy to do this again...hopefully this time for life! I am sorry, I have to giggle at this ... because at 100 OR 105 I would be dead.... sorry... these tiny weights seem so unrealistic for someone of my stature... anything below 148 for me looks and feels anorexic... but dont let me being a dork about the numbers today put anyone off... more power to you little people!! Guest guest
Yes, Lori, it *does* make sense. As human beings, we're all too good at " self-denial " . It's like walking around thinking " well, if I never *voice* these lil thoughts, I won't have to *deal* with them. But voicing them is the first step to dealing with them. It's not always easy and it's kinda like weight loss... movement in the positive direction isn't necessarily linear. The one nice thing about therapy is that you know the person you're speaking with is a trained professional and they're not just " saying it " to make you feel better - they certainly don't just tell you what you wanna hear! Guest guest
Wanda, I may seem truly amazing (HAH!) . . . but most stuff I get is of course from somewhere else! I'm on a mailing list that sends me an animated GIF image each day. I just tuck them away on our webserver until someone like yourself gives me the perfect opportunity to use one of them! Guest guest
For others though, it might take some time with a therapist to work things out. Just my 2 cents but it doesn't seem like to me anyone needs therapy for a defense mechanism kicking in.
Guest guest
>>because at 100 OR 105 I would be dead It was just an example. I wouldn't want to have said a goal of 175 and then found out that she was already at 140.
