Guest guest
You could have something called " diabetes insipidus " which is a problem with the pituitary, but usually you would also be excessively thirsty as well as the very frequent urination. Otherwise, there is also something called Interstitial cystitis but that usually involves some pain as well but not the frequent thirst. frequent urination I swear I must go like 30 times a day. it seems like everything I drink just comes right out of me. is this related to hypothyroid or adrenal fatigue? or is it of something else? I have added sea salt which has helped with dizzyness upon standing but it hasnt slowed my urination. my toilet literally moans everytime I approach it anymore,,lol. any comments would be appreciated. thanks
Guest guest
Or, possibly low aldosterone... (the adrenal hormone). Guest guest
thanks. I dont really ever feel that thirsty although my mouth tends to get a bit dry. hopefully it isnt diabetes. another thing I have that drives me mad,,,,is constant itching when Im in bed trying to sleep. I never seem to itch other then at night. anyone else have this problem and know what it could be? thanks again > > You could have something called " diabetes insipidus " which is a problem with the pituitary, but usually you would also be excessively thirsty as well as the very frequent urination. Guest guest
ahh,,,then that is the likely culprit. My pupils dilate off and on instead of contrict when I shine a light near them. I know this is consistent with low aldosterone so it all makes sense now. I just got my isocort in the mail the other day but havent started it yet. Im working rotating shifts this week,,including mid-8ams so I dont wanna start the dosing until my hours are more consistant. I sure hope this isocort works. I dont wanna have to rely on having to order hc online and worry about a source. thanks for your reply > > > >You could have something called " diabetes insipidus " which is a problem with the pituitary, but usually you would also be excessively thirsty as well as the very frequent urination. Both shoudl be tested as either can cause this. OR it could be the thyroid beginning to work It actally can work as a diuretic when it first really kicks in and starts to pull out the excess fluid in the body. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I have had this same problem. I have found, for me, that a low glycemic diet solves the problem. I do not know the cause. I just know that when I have starchy foods, I pee more. Also, the peeing bothered me at night. I just had to get up to go at night and could not get back to sleep. Guest guest
Diabetes unsipidus is not " diabetes " tthat is glucose/insulin related. Just wanted to clarify that. frequent urination > > > I swear I must go like 30 times a day. it seems like everything I > drink just comes right out of me. is this related to hypothyroid or > adrenal fatigue? or is it of something else? Guest guest
If you do have a low aldosterone problem, the conventional medicine treatment is Florinef. Some people have a hard time tolerating it and can use licorice root instead which serves the same purpose. Re: frequent urination ahh,,,then that is the likely culprit. Guest guest
It IS related but I am not sure if it is the adrenals or the thyroid which causes it. I have had the problem since the late 80s off an on. Right now it is off. But during the summer I get it much worse so I am thinking it is more adrenal and aldosterone related with salt loss issues. When I went to a doc about it in the 80s she said to do pelvic exercises. Really was a stupid response to not doing a thorough investigation since my pelvic muscles were plenty strong and that was not the issue at all. It still amazes me how little doctors know about the human body. Cheri frequent urination I swear I must go like 30 times a day. it seems like everything I drink just comes right out of me. is this related to hypothyroid or adrenal fatigue? or is it of something else? I do not know the cause. > If blood glucose goes over about 150-180, the kidneys start to try to get rid of it - and take water with it. There may also be affects between insulin/glucagon/cortisol/other digestive hormones that stimulate the kidneys. I notice that *almost without fail*, after I take insulin, about 2-3 minutes later (I assume when the insulin hits the bloodstream), I feel I have to pee. And I usually produce a fair amount. So I think insulin may stimulate the kidneys directly. If true, presumably a non-diabetics normally-functioning (or just *present*) beta cells produce something else that counters the effect. Guest guest
yea,,Im really thinking it is due to low aldosterone as that flashlight on the pupil test shows. I also just got some bloodwork done including thyroid (tsh and free t's). I called the docs and they said everything was within normal range except my liver enzymes were slightly elevated. so that would rule out the thyroid,,,although I have to pick up a copy of the tests to see the numbers for myself. thanks everyone for there replies > > It IS related but I am not sure if it is the adrenals or the thyroid which > causes it.
