Guest guest
A few people have mentioned in their posts that their cf baby leans their head to one side. My baby is 7 months old and leans his head to the right(I think everyone said the right side, is that a coincidence?). When he was younger we asked the orthopedist and said it's torticalis, associated with clubfoot. He told us to have him evaluated for physical therapy but the physical therapist said it was too severe to require therapy and showed us a few exercises. we've been doing them and hid head leaning got a little better. Anyway I was wondering if any of you knew more about it or had any tps to share? , mom to Mo, 18 hrs. DBB
Guest guest
Our son is 3 months old and does the same thing our pediatrician recommended us to a neurosurgeon we are waiting a month due to insurance. His pediatric dr. said that he may need a helmet to help correct this problem. I was concerned at his 2 month visit and it just happen right after he turn 3 months he got a sinus infection and she could tell when we took him to her that his head on the R side was getting a deformed look. May be your child needs to be referred to a specialist check with their Doctor. Guest guest
Hello, My son was born with right clubfoot, but not with torticalis. However, on my side and my husband's side, we have nieces with it. Both required physical therapy (and one of them was very severe) and they also did exercises (that weren't peaches and cream to do, lots of screaming). My one niece who is now 4 had to wear a brace for several months, but did not require surgery. My other niece who is 7 months now, is still recieving therapy, and it is looking like surgery will not be needed (she was the one with severe torticalis) - I would get a second opinion regarding the severity as well as the course of treatment you seek out.
