Guest guest
Good luck and much courage, . In my experience, LPs aren't so bad. I'd rather have ten of those than an EMG. Guest guest
, Do you by any chance have scoliosis? If so, make sure they use a fluoroscope for placement purposes. They may already be planning on it since a radiologist is doing it. Good luck. I had more problem with the headache after than the LP procedure itself. wulfluvr1 wrote: >Well I have my lumbar puncture tomorrow and I am scared. Guest guest
I will keep you in my thoughts. I have never had a spinal tap, but several spinal anesthesia and it really wasn't bad. They usually numb the area first. If you got through an EMG, this should be better. I know the idea is scary. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Tue, 13 Jan 2004 19:04:22 -0000 > To: > Subject: suport needed for big chicken > > Well I have my lumbar puncture tomorrow and I am scared. Guest guest
Dear , I had a lumbar puncture when I was in the hospital in June, and it wasn't bad at all. The ER doctor did it. I agree with Theresa: the EMG's are much worse! (And by the way, a warm welcome to you, Theresa. You have been through so much already. My sincere condolences upon the loss of your daughter...You write with much eloquence.) Let's hope that this test will yield some answers, . You are getting so many varying results. I hope you get a firm dx soon, and some effective treatment. Sincerely,
