Guest guest
Dawn, You may want to get a small bottle of the carniqgel. It is like $23.50 (mention about the mito discount Dr Cohen arranged and it will be cheaper). Shipping is $6 so may want to buy a little more. Or, call them up, explain your situation and you may get some samples. You mentioned Dr Peltier. Where do you live? We live between Green Bay and Appleton WI. Anyway, my son likes to take the gelcap instead of the liquid carnitor which is a prescription item. I can definitely tell the difference when he does not take them. You are supposed to take 5-10 times your body weight in kilos for the dosage. The carniqgel may be too big for your daughter. It is the same size as the 30 mg qgel. You may want to have your daughter take the 15 mg qgel. They are smaller. They are like 3 times more effective than other brands so 15 mg is like 45 mg. If she can take the carniqgel that is better because then she gets the carnitor and the qgel. One other plus--the vitamin E helps my 11 year old son's face. When he forgets to take them for a couple of days he get constipation and his face gets tiny little pimples. Janet Sample
Guest guest
--- Hi Janet, Thank you for the input. I live in Racine, just south of Milwaukee. It is just a thirty minute drive to see Dr. Peltier. Where do I order the Carniqgel from? I have had all of the blood tests and they have been fine. Dr. Peltier mentioned that the genetic testing would cost about $3000. It is probably that expensive because I have no known cases in my family. Iwould like to know more for the sake of my daughters. Dr. Peltier should be calling me tommorow. Hopefully I will get a chance to ask her more about the genetic testing and talk about my kids issues. Have a wonderful Holiday! Guest guest
Dawn, epic4health.com or is basically Tishcon Corp's website. They sell to other places also. qgel.com lists them. I bought a year or two ago the 15 mg size from Puritan's pride on their two for 1 sale but now they do not seem to carry it. My sister used to live in Twin Lakes, west of Kenosha. With her first 4 day coma episode in 1994 she was taken to St Luke's in Milwaukee. They found nothing to account for it. In 1996 they had moved to Manitowoc but when she went into the 10 hr seizures and then the two week coma she was a Froedert. I did "baseline" testing at Froedert and Medical College of WI in 1997 with Dr Tick and Dr Peltier. is supposed to be having an MRI spectraposy scheduled at childrens Hospital but Dr Tick is not very good about followup. I may have to go to Dr Larsen. He had what we think was a mini stroke back in November. He is fine now except a bad cold and the flu started Friday. So, not sure when this will get done. You mentioned your daughter is a gymnist. My girlfriends daughter who lives in Sheboygan is a gymnist also. She turns 11 in January. She has done very well thru the YMCA programs. I think she represented Wisconsin out at a national meet last year or something. This year Tina takes her down to a professional coach somewhere down in Milwaukee somewhere. They go like once a week or something. Well, take care Janet Sample Re: DAWN--DAUGHTER and CARNIQGEL --- Hi Janet, Thank you for the input. I live in Racine, just south of Milwaukee. Guest guest
---Hi Janet! Thanks for the information. Sorry your son si sick with the flu. I hope your son does not have anymore stroke-like episodes. It is so hard to watch our children suffer. By the way How is your sister doing? It sounds like she has been hit hard with this. My daughters compete for the YMCA also. Sheboygan is a good team. Do you know what level your friends daughter is in? We start competing in Febuary. I am worried about having the stamina to travel to the meets. I am also worried about my daughters being up to it. Only time will tell. I am definately going to try them on the gell. I also want to take them to an alternative medicine Dr. that I know about in town. Many of his patients have had good results and I know he treats patients with Crohns.
