Guest guest
Hi Gossimer, I can give you and energy drink, it may sound crazy, but it's a recipe from my dad, he was born in 1898. It's homemade. I'll give you his recipe then mine that I adapted for Type 2 Diabetes. Dad's - 16 oz water, 1 tablespoon cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey. Rita's Type2 - 16 oz water, 2 tablespoons vinegar(white), 1 sweet n low I hope this helps, cider vinegar is fermented, which is why I use white vinegar. Vinegar alkalizes the body, so it should help with everything. The body needs to be alkaline to be healthy. Vinegar helps with losing inches. Srnding Love, Rita in Patopper2@... wrote: Gossimer... Guest guest
Hi Topper, between your questions I've put my answers: One thing that I'm wondering about, what with the stress that I worked in and through for the last 7 months at the last job, I am wondering if I undid all the good that I did treating the Adrenals before this job and need to baby them for a few months...increase the dosage or...gag, take the tablet sublingually (can't stand the taste). just thinking through things today and wondering... > > What are you taking for adrenal support.... what time of day are you > taking it? NutriMeds Adrenal support, first thing in the morning swallowed on an empty stomach, I can't stand the taste of it. > Did I count right.. six grain of Armour 2 swallowed the other 4 > sublingual and multi dosed? Yep, you counted correct. Anything under six and my T4 and T3 take a nose dive. > Are you breaking the pills to expose the insides when you dose them > sublingually.... (you probably have larger dose tabs that you are > splitting to make the 1 grain doses that you take.... but I'll ask to be > sure) For my sublingual I take it in 1 grain tablets...don't break them apart > You're taking Selenium with food? Yes, 200mg's of Selenium. > The other thought that comes to mind right now... > You are on a relatively high dose.. with labs that 'look' decent... but > still have some symptoms creeping up..... if we consider that the labs > are showing what is left in the blood, what is still free.... what if > there is an absorption issue/receptor issue... and even though what is > still showing high in the blood is really still low at the receptor > sites.... ???? I am in the middle of studying and my brain slowly turns off and I'm asleep, same thing with recreational reading, lots of action...I just phase out and wake up later. > > How is your breathing? The nose is clear, can breath either through the mouth or the nose. The sinus infection seems to effect the ear and frontal cavities more than the nose...the infection did gave me a migraine two weekends ago...lovely thing to live through, that and we had that nasty storm move in the same day...once the atmospheric pressure established itself the migraine dissapated into just a huge headache. Every once in while I have to take a really deep breath, like a really deep yawn...maybe a few of these and I'm set to go for another while...I do have sleep apnea-its treated with a Bi-Pap that just came back from being service with the pressure adjusted. So, whenever I lie down at night that machine is running. > How is your breathing? With the sinus infection I'm wondering if you > aren't oxygenating properly and that is contributing to your mid day > fatigue.... I just have one more day of the antibiotic so we'll see how things go in the next few days...now that I'm not in polluted air all the time. > Antibiotics, can they bind with thyroid hormone? Guest guest
Gossimer When was the last time you had testing done for your sex hormones, as in the testosterone, estrogens, and progesterone? How about DHEA altogether with these others? You have a DO. If he/she has not tested these hormones recently, what with the acne, weight gain, and foul moods, then he/she isn't thinking very straight, considering that you're only 4 yrs behind me in age. Unless you had a total hyst yrs and yrs ago, it may be right about that fun time in life. Yes, I love it, it's been going on now for approximately 12 to 13 yrs and seems neverending, and, having had a partial hyst, leaving one ovary, it was just enough to prolong it forever and ever. Wish the dumbbell had taken it ALL out. At least I would have gone insane much much faster and gotten it over with. My ears STILL light up like Christmas trees, and I still have hot flushes and mood swings from them, but not to the extent that I once did. I really do think that this is what is going on. He needs to do the saliva tests on you for these, especially since you seemed to be at a very optimal dose, and now this suddenly. I know that low cortisol production is usually involved with the allergies, but it could be many or all of the other substances too. Guest guest
The trouble about those Mexican fires, Topper, was that none of us ever knew what kinds of chemicals were in them. But you certainly could be right about my labs "looking good on paper", but maybe not "hitting the target" properly. The thing is that I still don't know why I can't take two grains of Armour any more, unless it's adrenal in nature, but one thing I do know is that my heart can't take 160 bpm any more, that's dangerous, and it went on for a couple of days or so, until I got off of everything for a few days, over a week, I'm thinking. I'm 54 and can't handle that much T3, no matter what the reason is. Now, if I found out that I need adrenal supplementation for SURE, then I would go for that. Re: Help!!!! with sleep, food, skin issue questions Gossimer... I'm gonna ponder on this some more.. but for now... What are you taking for adrenal support.... what time of day are you taking it? You are on a relatively high dose.. with labs that 'look' decent... but still have some symptoms creeping up..... if we consider that the labs are showing what is left in the blood, what is still free.... what if there is an absorption issue/receptor issue... and even though what is still showing high in the blood is really still low at the receptor sites.... ???? Chemicals can alter how our bodies do stuff... I wonder if there is something going on with the chemicals and your receptors? .... did you catch this..? You have some background with chemicals from the fires that you've told us about... does any of this hit anything in your brain box?? One last one, for now, Gossimer.... the afternoon naps... how is your day structured? are you one that sleeps when you have days that are too.... 'free flowing' ? Did that make sense? Or are you actually zoning out when doing stuff? How is your breathing? ..... I'm coming up with more questions... How is your breathing? With the sinus infection I'm wondering if you aren't oxygenating properly and that is contributing to your mid day fatigue.... Antibiotics, can they bind with thyroid hormone? Might they be reducing the availability of what you are taking? Does anyone know?? I'm stopping for now... we'll all keep picking on this and see what our communal brain can start bringing out.... Guest guest
Yes, you're right, vinegar IS acid. Baking soda is alkaline, but I can't stand that stuff. Stopped using it for brushing my teeth, it kept my gums swollen all the time. I believe that it's lots of veggies, particularly green ones that help to alkalize the body. Re: Help!!!! with sleep, food, skin issue questions I know a person who used to down 1 tablespoon of vinegar every morning.. said it helped with metabolism. I know certainly it adds acid to the stomach & gets rid of heartburn... I'm a big fan of 'natural' remedies.
Guest guest
yes, it's an old wives tale that my dad said worked and I thought I would try it... If I had to measure it out, I would say a few teaspoons-tablespoons... Drink one or two of each and wait and see... it works almost instantly for me and for the others that have tried it. You can use any type of vinegar although I keep white around for baths to guard against yeast infections and to use for heartburn. In cooking I'll use apple cider vinegar. I don't see a difference in the effect level, except that they both work. So try it and let me know how it works for you . Re: Help!!!! with sleep, food, skin issue questions Hi Gossimer, I can give you and energy drink, it may sound crazy, but it's a recipe from my dad, he was born in 1898. Then about 2002 started living with a "Personal Summer" that never ended up until about 2 months ago. Changed over to Armour, then Natural Thryoid as I couldn't get a hold of Armour...Now back onto Armour through my health insurance.Armour, 2 grains swallowed first thing along with 1 grain sublingual, than 1 grain before lunch, 1 grain midafternoon, 1 grain right before bed, all these sublingual....And Yes I am resistant to Thryoid replacement therapy...thus the huge amounts of Armour. No one in their right body should have to take this much.sigh.... We could smell the spent fuel at least 4 times a day, along with the burnt rubber from the landings and the take offs...so I knew the air inside the building wasn't healthy.Across the street was a Spice factory which when the winds blew in our direction we could smell what spices they were mixing. The job was high stress sales/order taker with a supervisor who needs well, lets leave it at a high stress situation (I sometimes wonder how I lasted as long as I did...ah well, another story).I resigned from this job at the end of January. Came down with the first sinus infection last Novemeber, another one in January and my current one two weeks ago. My DO has now tried three different antibiotics to get rid of this infection. Now on top of this infection I am eating(craving food) way too much, thus putting on weight that I for sure don't need.I drink what seems like gallons of water each day...trying to flush the toxins from my body from the air pollution of the Airport. Eat salads every day to keep things flushed out, not stopped up.Eat at least one piece of fruit a day....My last test results had my TSH at 0.07, Free T4 mid range and my Free T3 was near the top of the range...(can't find the paperwork right now)My skin is breaking out like I am a teenager all over again. And since I am almost at the half century mark I don't think, although at times I wish I was, my body should be doing the teenager breakouts stuff. I am sleepy and am taking naps in the middle of the afternoon. Falling asleep is more like it in the middle of doing some necessary studying/reading.Sleep 8-9 hours a night. For the last week I have been in a foul mood...it could be the sinus infections effecting my patience levels....however...sigh...My concern is the sleeping in the middle of the afternoon, the weight gain/food craving and the skin issues... Does anyone, can anyone see something that I need to do to stop the need for the mid afternoon naps and the craving of foods? Am I missing something? Do I need to add something? Remove something? Change something? I need to get back to work somewheres...however, sleeping in the middle of the afternoon doesn't go over very well with the bosses. Thanks for your help!Gossimer Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi , Did I see right you use apple cider vinegar for your arthritis and you say it is working. wrote: ,I have been lurking for a time. I have to comment on the vinegar. In order for it to be effective it HAS to be Pure Apple Cider Vinegar from the health food stores & it should be Pure Unslufured Blackstrap Molasses, also from a health food store. Why in the world would you use Sweet & Low ? ? ? ? That stuff is PURE poison !!!! I am in an Herbal group also & we have just been discussing this combination "we call it Body Balance". I am trying it for my arthritis & it seems to be helping. Guest guest
-Tina, Yes you read right. Every morning & night I take one tablespoon of Apple cider Vinegar & one tablespoon of Unsulfered black strap Molasses. You can do it 3 times a day for the first couple weeks to get it to kick in faster. I put the Vinegar in water, & I eat the molasses straight, some people think it's too sweet & put it in the water with the Vinegar. -- In The_Thyroid_Support_Group , Tina Hummel wrote: > > Hi , > Did I see right you use apple cider vinegar for your arthritis and you say it is working. > > wrote: > , > I have been lurking for a time. Guest guest
yeah... I don't use sweet & low... I can't stand the stuff. I use organic sugar. I've used apple cider and regular white and don't notice a difference, I notice that they both help in the amount of time equally to each other. That's what they do for me, others may have better luck with white or apple. I'm not diabetic here. Are you replying to Gossimer's comments?
