Michele,

So sorry to hear about your problem with getting shoes. I remember

reading your mails earlier in the year, I can't believe you're still

waiting.

It's not much help to you, but the orthotics people in South Africa were

telling me that they have problems getting the full and correct shipment

(sizes and quantities) of straight last shoes that they order from the

Markell factory. Apparently it is often short supplied, by a

substantial amount. We were lucky that they had our size in stock

already. I don't know what's causing the supply problem in your case.

Maybe they don't always have the stock available at Markell?

I suppose you have to buy the shoes from whoever your healthcare

provider tells you to, but would it be worth asking them if you can get

them shipped directly from US Orthotics in Iowa? they seem to have stock

most of the time.

Good luck, I hope they arrive soon,

Hi everyone,

I'm curious what the difference is between the straight last shoes and

reverse last shoes...I'm not sure which my daughter has. When do you need

one vs. the other?

Thank you,

Bess

Hi Bess, the difference is reverse last boots have an outflare to

them, it will hold his toes out to the outside a bit more, the

straight last, they have no right or left to them, as long as the

feet are the same size it does not matter which foot you put on them.
