.. Or a study that shows that. Yup there's that

doubting again.

I think the studies are probably out there Val. Because this Maharishi guy

had the dosh to pay to have them done properly.

Not like Big Pharma where they would never have done the research as there

would not have been any profit in it for them.

>>This study found that people who had been practicing the

Transcendental Meditation program for three to five years had

significantly lower cortisol levels during the TM technique compared to

just before beginning the technique (p<.01), and significantly lower

levels during TM compared to controls who were resting with eyes closed

(p<.03)<<

OK so oyu have to stay in a meditative state ot lower cortiosl? OK you

try it. I wasnt realistic proof this is not a scientific study. Thsi si

a trial done to prove a point., WVERYone's cortios lowers when they

sleep! Meditation is just doing the same thing to oyur body! HEALED

peokle that had high cortisol and now dont; ANYTIME is what I would

really like to see. Or a study that shows that. Yup there's that

doubting again.

I would think a normal person with healthy adrenals and slightly

high cortisol from temporary stress might be able to aid themselves

with TM. But for people with severely compromised adrenals, it would

be like spitting in the wind. Just like licorice is helpful in the

beginning stages of low cortisol but once you hit a certain point

you have to go for the big guns of HC.

Yes I think there may be truth in what you say re the severely compromised

adrenals though who knows what the research has turned up?.

A normal, healthy person's adrenals would not need TM though to return to

normal, i.e. the adrenals are adaptive by nature and that is what they do best,

they shoot out extra cortisol to help in a stressful situation and then go

back to w here they were once the crisis is over.
