Guest guest
Yesterday I used HC cream instead of tablets due to being on 40 mg hc for a while and blood pressure dropping on standing. So we thought I could not be getting any hc from the tablets. Yesterday was very poorly all day, felt nausea, migraine, severe neck pain, spent most of it in bed. Took 8pm dose as a tablet after getting advice from val and started to feel better, by 10pm was fine, just normal neck pain. So I quess I absorb tablets better than cream? Should I stay on the tablets and forget the cream? I am thinking of just forgetting everything and staying on 40mg cortef for two weeks and seeing if I can stabalise my temps and bp. Is this likely? They have never stabalised in over 2 years of various thyroid, adrenal supplements and hc? I have been of all t3 for 10 days. Thanks again Caroline
Guest guest
I would only switchonver ONE dose of the cream (from tablets) at a tie this way oyu can adjust the sdose as you go.You can get symptoms of LOW cortisol if oyu use too much as it will overly supress the ACTH and make your adrneals make less of their own. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I htought you wanted to see if you absorbed it better wiht the cream? One day is not a good trial! LOL -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
But i tried it because you said i can't be absorbing it from tablets but as i used cream and ended up on my knees i must be absorbing it from tablets and didn't from the cream. so i realise one day is a short test but it proved i am getting it from the tablets so why bother? I am not trying to disagree Val. I am at my wits end and have treid so many things my temps are still more than 1/2 a degree difference every day and my blood pressure is still falling on standing. I am in severe pain due to no t3 and I just do not know what to do next. Thanks Caroline wrote: I htought you wanted to see if you absorbed it better wiht the cream? One day is not a good trial! Guest guest
There is NO WAY you cannot absorb it from the cream! That is why I suspect it was simply a shock to your system and ossibly alot MORE than your body is used to getting which WOULD cause the LOW symtpoms the rest of the day as more shuts down more ACTH and then you do nto have the added cortisol from your own adrenals. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Ok I think I understand but the reaction was very quick after I used the cream and I only felt better when I started back on the tablets. Does that make sense? If so I will try tonights last dose 5mg with cream and just pray i will be getting somewhere. Thanks Caroline wrote: There is NO WAY you cannot absorb it from the cream! Guest guest
I stopped the cream after a too-short trial of only two days, but I couldn't stand the speed during the day and the feeling at night - the closest thing that I can relate it to, and it was very close to this for those of you who know, was tripping and then coming down from an LSD or amphetamine high although only the speed part, no hallucinations. Today, back on the tabs, I feel much more in control, had some energy, but not flipping from one thing to another frenetically, and my temps aren't flipping around like they were. I don't know whether I was absorbing the HC better, or not as well, or that I was absorbing it better which in turn helped the thyroid hormone get into the cells, but it sure didn't feel healthy and I feel more in control today although I still woke up at 5:30AM and couldn't get back to sleep which makes for three nights in a row of 5-6 hours which isn't good for me. I might try again with the cream when I get my scale so that I can make the measurements more precise. > There is NO WAY you cannot absorb it from the cream!
