Guest guest
Speaking of body temps Val, Danny did his for a week and every day except one they were 97.8, the other day was only a luttle lower at 97.7. Basals. Is this saying that really there is nothing wrong with Danny's thyroid? Mo
Guest guest
Basals. Is this saying that really there is nothing wrong with Danny's thyroid?<< No, 98.6 is a normal body temperature! Basal?????????????? Mo
Guest guest
Oh basal should be 97.8 to 98.4 according the . BUT hyper adrenal can certainly raisse temps too. But I would worry about getting his adrneals looking better before starting thyroid anyway. Then he should retest once adrenals are better to see if he still needs thyroid. Remember high cortiosll blocks conversion of T4 to T3 and that could be part of why he is tired. Yes it is his basals that came in at 97.8 consistently. He is a mix of hypo and hyper adrenal, do you mean that the hyper bit later in the day could raise his basal temps? And that these basals could be 'false' as a consequence? Oh yes I wasn't thinking of him taking any thyroid meds, just thinking things through and trying to make sense of it all. Yes he is high cortisol later in the day as stated and this could block conversion. I understand this. But he is ALSO low cortisol in the morning and this stops thyroid getting into the cells? Have I got that right? Mo

When I a at 97.8 in the morning it si not a good day for me at all. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Mo's question: >>But he is ALSO low cortisol in the morning and this stops thyroid getting into the cells? When I a at 97.8 in the morning it si not a good day for me at all Mo's 2nd question: So his low morning cortisol may be stopping thyroid getting into his cells and his high later-in-day cortisol may be interfering with conversion? The latt er being which his FT3 is mid-range? Intersting about the basal range. Anyone on the list want to share what their basal is and how it affects them? Thanks Mo
Guest guest
I can't get my basal up at all, usually 96.8 to 97.0 Average temps during the day are 97.4 to 97.5 This is on 32.5 mc and 150mcg T3 I'm feeling much better than I was but still have problems with heat intolerance My goodness Lynda, those are very low temps! The basal is like what mine was before I started meds. What were yours back then? Have they shifted at all? Val - do you have any idea why Lynda's temps should still be like this? Mo ps glad to hear you are having improvement Lynda, I still have the heat intolerance too.

Guest guest
nope, basal temps have not shifted at all but average day time temps have. Before any medication they were in the 96's all day I think my low day time temps are why I'm heat intolerant. We have the central heating on but my husband is wearing a long sleeved sports shirt and a sweater. I am wearing a T shirt with no bra - pleased nobody can see me!! Guest guest
Back in June I was taking 6 grains of armour and 25mcg T3, then I changed to 5 grains armour and 50mcg T3 and stayed with that until the beginning of October. I then started swapping out 1 grain of armour for 25mcg T3 each week and have been taking T3 only for the last 2 weeks - now on150mcg T3 and 32.5mg hc. My temps are steady but not rising and I'm a bit confused about the symptoms because sometimes I feel too hot and other times too cold, the change can be within a few minutes Lynda Re: What is this author talking about? Guest guest
>>because sometimes I feel too hot and other times too cold, the change can be within a few minutes<< I have had this symptoms and I believe it is either adrenals(high or low!) or T4 toxicity. I would continue to build the T3 dose until your temps come up. You haven't been off Armour anywhere near long enough to get rid of the RT3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
How long to stay on the current dose of T3 and build up by how much/how often? I don't think it's high adrenals as I had this on a lower dose of hc too Lynda Re: What is this author talking about? Guest guest
You need to go a little slowly till the T4 leaves your system, but I would add 6,25 every 5-7 days until you have been on T3 only 8 weeks then you can raise from there pretty much every 3 days till temps reach normal. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
ok, will do. I'm keeping a spreadsheet of my temps and dosage so I can see exactly when I raise my dose and the corresponding temperatures Lynda Re: What is this author talking about?
