Hi SeaLady,

I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor in 2003. I would love

to chat with you also.

Re:Aldosterone and Renin levels/pitituary problems

Hi, I would also be interested in knowing and chatting with anyone else who

has pituitary problems and or a tumor. Thru an injectable MRI this summer

they discovered a tumor on my pituitary - I will have to have another MRI

done in Feb. to see if it is growing - there doesn't seem to be a whole lot

of info out there on this.

I asked my Endro yesterday about Aldosterone - don't think I got a very good

answer if any...

Hi a,

I would have to say, fatigue, muscle stiffness, joint pain.

The doctor also noted a redness or flushing to my skin. I no longer

see this endo. Hypopit was the first dx. The test that were low were

igf-1, hgh, adolsterone and renin. This issue is not resolved for me

either and who knows if I will find the correct person to deal with it.

If you want more information, I would prefer to discuss it privately,

via the phone or e-mail.

Hi Frannie,

Would you mind sharing what symptoms you had before you were

diagnosed? I'm suspecting my pituitary for a lot of my issues but my

current doctor just seems to be treating the symptoms and doesn't

seem interested in what's causing them. He told me that some time ago

I basically " blew a fuse in my hypothalamus " . I really don't know

what that means! He recognizes my hypopituitarism, but doesn't take

it any further.

I would love to hear more of your history if you feel like sharing.

Thanks!
