Lymph nodes serve to move toxins out of the body and when they are swollen

it is a sign your lymphatic flow is blocked. I have this problem a lot,

especially with a node under my jaw. My first one appeared in 1990 and has

been swollen off and on since, however, when I was at my sickest it was

constantly swollen and very painful.

One of the best things to do for the lymph system is get one of those

personal size trampolines and jump on it for about 30 minutes a day. It is

lots of fun too, lol. This gets the lymph flowing again and can help move

the toxins out. Massage can be an option too as well as acupuncture and

acupressure if you can afford it, but the trampoline (about $30-$40) is a

cheap and effective option.

There are also supplements you can take to help.

I have noticed my lymphatic system is a little better since starting

Isocort. Not sure why exactly.

On the goiter and thyroid nodes, mine shrank with taking kombu seaweed (I

guess my thyroid was lacking iodine) so I totally understand where you are

coming from with the thyroid meds helping yours.

Re: Thyroid ultrasound and release of hormone from

the palpation- s

The alarming lump over my cricoid cartilage was shown to be an

enlarged lymph node, not thyroid tissue as feared. The scan did show

lots of unexplained extremely enlarged nodes and this side of things

does need to be investigated further. But the doc did say that the

nodes didn't look malignant. Knowing this is a huge relief. Hopefully

this means I won't have to have them biopsied after all.

Has anybody else had a similar experience, particularly a Hashimoto's

swelling/goiter shrinking this fast (within 3 months) on thyroid

hormone treatment?
