Genetic testing was has not influenced or changed my medical care. What it provided was information for my daughter. Although she is married, she has no children. She has decided to seek "alternative reproductive strategies" rather than risk passing this disease to any children. At this point technology seems to be limited to seeking a donor egg. Unfortunately there is no genetic testing routinely done on donors. Odd.
