Guest guest
Hi Val, About 6 weeks ago I raised HC from 22.5 to 25. I had tried to go to 25 before but always had symptoms and went back down. Once you mentioned it might be ACTH suppression. Before this last raise, I was doing really well at 22.5 but my bp was still dropping significantly and I was getting high readings of FT3 on labs but BBT still low - 97.0 - ish. After this last raise, I've never felt the same, I feel closer to how I did before I started meds. I just added another 1/4 pill of Florinef and today it seemed to take me to feeling more like I did before the raise. My face filled out, the dull headache lifted and I felt more normal. But now, by late afternoon, it's gone. These symptoms seem to indicate I need more cortisol (my average temps. are steady), but thatt doesn't make sense to me. Why would I need more after raising? Is it possible that by raising if I didn't need it, I made my adrenals worse and now they're not putting out what they were before on their own?? --------------------------------- Get easy, one-click access to your favorites. Guest guest
Raising Florinef should not uncrease your need for HC. They work in tandem not against each other. I would give the raise more time for your body to adjust to it, Florinef changes the fluid balance in your body and the chages can feel very unsettling until they are done. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
No, I meant after raising HC the last time, from 22.5 to 25. Florinef actually helped me feel better.... wrote: Raising Florinef should not uncrease your need for HC. They work in tandem not against each other. More thyroid can cause you to need mroe cortiosl to handle it, but you will reach a point eventually where you will stop needing more and then you will start feeling much better too! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
No, I was actually lower on thyroid than I was during the summer. My Dr. had me lower it because I was going so far over the range..... I thought I had reached that point at 22.5 but then raised because of the reasons I mentioned. I was feeling really good then....about 100x better than now. A couple of weeks ago I tried going back down but didn't notice much difference, and then got sick right after. wrote: >>No, I meant after raising HC the last time, from 22.5 to 25.
