This makes me SICK! I'm writing a letter, even though I'm not from LA. This

woman is more than just misinformed or ignorant. She is spreading

misinformation, and to me, this is just plain evil. Our children are

neglected??? I,

for one, quit my job to help my son learn to speak, and spend my life driving

him to therapy.

I am so angry!!!

Mommy to Brett, 5 y.o., apraxia - and I have read to him every night since

the day he was born, speak to him clearly and with diction, and he STILL has

apraxia! Go figure!

Oh yes, and I forgot to mention... Brett's end of kindergarten testing

revealed that he reads at the second grade level, with an IQ equivalent of

149...

I'm interested in ruffling her feathers, because she certainly ruffled ours.

Why not get her on the Today Show or Good Morning America, faced against all of

us, and have her explain her position? Betcha she'll be stumbling over her

words quickly and re election will no longer be on her agenda.

Anyone care to join me in giving her a hard time?

Count me in to ruffle some feathers. Those type of comments get me so

ticked. I've played with my girls every day, read to them several times I

day, we sing and dance and do all the things typical kids do. No one can

even remotely suggest my kids are neglected. Spoiled rotten, yes. But not

neglected.

and uneducated parents? oooo that burns me. A BA in mass communications, a

second BA in culinary arts, and I'm 3 classes and a test away from being a

registered dietician. Hubby has a masters in computer programming. But our

daughter has special needs so we must be uneducated.

some people just need knocked in the head and told to wake up.
