This one is greatly absurd, and immensely funny in that people actually fell for it. Outside of the Republican convention, people were handing out small leaflets explaining that breastfeeding in public places is indecent and should be stopped. The leaflet continues that breastfeeding damaged the infant and causes it to have illicit sexual tendencies in the future. The leaflet adds that we should choose a candidate that believes in banning breastfeeding. Now, before you laugh too hard, if you call the number on the leaflet, you actually get a message from an organization called " Citizens Against Breastfeeding. " You can even join if you wish. I would advise you not to. This entire setup, from the convention to the leaflet to the phone message, is all an elaborate hoax initiated by one Alan Abel, a well-known hoaxster. Yes, folks, the entire thing from beginning to end is one giant, obnoxious, brilliant hoax. I would like to see the profiles of the people who actually believed it and joined the organization.
