Guest guest
Babul, that is an incredible success story! Did you take Anoushka back to your local doctor in Singapore when you returned home? If so, can you tell us what his reaction was? Has there been any progress with the Ponseti method in Singapore since your daughter's treatment? How do you manage Anoushka's checkups - via email/photographs with Dr. Ponseti or do you see your local doctor for follow-up? Has Anoushka been released from the DBB? Thanks so much for sharing your story! Warm regards, Daiga and Owen, 02/04/03 Unilateral LCF, DBB 14/24 > For those who came in late.... > [Not been here since long but, I am re-posting Anoushka's Story from > my earlier posts] > > Anoushka now is 4 years of age and keeps us busy when we are back > home. Guest guest
Babul, It is nice to hear from you. Have you heard of any doctors in Singapore who have begun to offer the Ponseti method. > For those who came in late.... > [Not been here since long but, I am re-posting Anoushka's Story from > my earlier posts] > > Anoushka now is 4 years of age and keeps us busy when we are back > home. Guest guest
Hi , I did try replying to your message but I think I did it wrongly. In any case, after a short hunt, I have found a doc here in Singapore who uses the ponseti method, though not trained directly by him. I have sent an email to Dr Ponseti to highlight this to him. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your message too. I had no chance to interface with any Doctors ever in Singapore again. From my last experience on clubfoot treatment offered here. But there was one doctor who was pretty interested. I will get in touch with them soon and findout the same. btw I might migrate back to India soon. So maybe I can speak to Doctors over there who cud be interested in the same. I would be more interested to do something back there. Will surely keep in touch with you guys from now on. And according to Ponseti's website, there's a doc listed based in India, too. All the best. Cheers, Kalai " Babul D. Bhatt " wrote: Hi , Thanks for your message too. Guest guest
Hello Daiga and Grady Thanks for your message, Yes i did try to eventually get in touch with one of the leading Head Of Orthopeadic Surgeons here in Singapore and his reaction was very much unprofessional to start with. He was the one who had advised us not to go to Dr. Ponseti [since Dr. Ponseti is just a legend and knows to just write papers] how i wanna really kick his ass. When i was back in Singapore I called him and he says that I am sure that your daughter has not been completely cured and you may take an appointment with my nurse to see me next week! This is how a professional man behaves who is supposed to be open to learn new things and not just pass sarcastic comments. It was end of my faith in such unprofessional doctors in Singapore. Coming to talk about Anoushka's follow up. Well I did send Dr. Ponseti some of her photos and I have got positive feedbacks from him. Thats all from the follow up of the treatment. She has not visited or been checked by any doctors here locally. She is out of her DBB and is now 4 years of age, running and hopping around! Thanks for your message again. Do keep in touch Cheers.... > > For those who came in late.... > > [Not been here since long but, I am re-posting Anoushka's Story > from > > my earlier posts] > > > > Anoushka now is 4 years of age and keeps us busy when we are back > > home. Guest guest
oh! She is the perfect age to take to that docs office and let her run rampant so he has to come out to the front to see what all the commotion is! Then you can tell him about how horrible the Ponseti Method is and how she so obviously needs surgery lol. Wouldn't that be fun?! I know... I'm bad. Good for you! Love your story!
