You need to wait till after any testing she wants doen to be done to make sure

it is accurate. I would not start anything until she gets the results back for

the cortiosl testing. BTW you want to go as close to 8AM for this as possible.

That is the most accurate way to test serum cortisol.

The serum cortisol was done in the lab after my appointment, so the lab was done

around

12:30. They didn't give me an option for doing it at 8am. Even if they did I

doubt I would

have been able to because i drove 2 and 1/2 hours just to go to this Dr.

I will post my results when they come in 3-5 days.

Well this proves my suspicion that your doctor has NO clue about cortisll or

it;s proper levels as mid day values arte guesses at best. But theone good thing

is it will show possibly low or at leats midrange so she MAY decide to do

further testing as the labs give a range for the whole dy.

my own

adrenal function even being a much lower dose. My guess is that this lab would

have to come

back REALLY low for her to even consider doing the ACTH stim test.
