Guest guest
Well, Dale, here's hoping your P doesn't change to A. Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. Helen Keller (1880-1968)

Guest guest
Dale, Sorry to hear about your P maybe an A. I know your feelings about religion, but my prayers are with you and your wife. Norton Talk about pucker factor... I send e-mail to my neur now and then and sent her one asking about LDN. I also told her about how fast I have been going downhill the last two months. She goes, come in today... You know that's not good... Just got back a little while ago and have the big bugaboo of all PLSers. She doesn't like how it's going (I have to agree with her there) and she did the muscle/reflex tests and for the first time she noticed weakness in my hands... She is scheduling me for an EMG ASAP... Talk about pucker factor. We know it's always there but when the doc gets nervous, well it rubs off... So now I wait for the call back to go for the test, and we wait to see if my PLS has changed one letter to A... Man, it's like, can't you just leave me alone for a little while??? Oh, and it bugged me so much I forgot to discuss LDN... Have to send another mail message.... Sorry, just a little dazed and had to tell someone, I actually feel sorriest for my wife who was there. I wish she didn't have to go through this... thanks for listening, dale

Guest guest
Dale, I know just how you feel. I'm looking for the " A " to be changed to a " P. " I was diagnosed with ALS last month so I'm looking for " second opinions. " For two years, I thought I had PLS and felt sorry for myself. Now, I only wish for PLS. Hang in there. There's lots of support online for ALS, just like PLS. I'll pass on the site addresses if and when you need them. My prayers are with you. Guest guest
Thanks, we got home yesterday and she went out to work in the flower beds until dark. I'm glad she has that to take her mind off of this. Hopefully it's all a false alarm. dale Re: Talk about pucker factor... > Dale, > I am sorry you and your wife are having a bad time.Dorian " s PLS has been a > rapid decline, he has weakness in he's hands and some wasting, the > nurogigist just had him retested, he had a emg a few weeks ago and PLS is still > the dagnoses. Guest guest
Dale, “….hope, as opposed to cynicism and despair, is the sole precondition for new and better experiences. Realism demands pessimism but hope demands that we take a dim view of the present because we hold a bright view of the future; and hope arouses as nothing else can arouse………a passion for the possible.” Gene
