Guest guest
Are Dr 's adrenal supplements actual " cortisol " or things to help adrenals strengthen w/o cortisol? I ask because sometimes we thyroidless folks need the real deal 'because' our adrenals get so fried. Loosing a thyroid has such a huge gigantor impact on the entire body. More than you could imagine. If I remember correctly, the first time I took Cortef my " holy mother of god " adrenal symptoms (at 3+ grains of Armour) magically went away in about half an hour. I did end up on Deltacortril (prednisoLone), tho...mmmm at 7.5mg for about 2 years. My saliva tests show very high cortisol and blood test showed low ferritin (7). I have been on 90 mg Armour for about a month and a half, tried raising it to 120 and had lots of anxiety. Should I go back on Synthroid until my cortisol level comes down and ferritin goes back up?<< I would go on a lower dose of Armour. 60mg will keep you alive while you build the Ferritin up. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
