Hope you all had a special Thanksgiving! , I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling bad. I hate it when I have sinus problems. I used to get post nasal drip that would cause a sore throat. I'm just wondering why the Dr. prescribed antibiotics. They do nothing for sinusitis. I get people on the list confused, so correct me if I'm wrong, but do you take a lot of antibiotics? They can really wear down the immune system, and, unfortunately, are overprescribed. Just a thought, if you eat dairy products, that may be aggravating the sinus problem. Best of luck with your visit to Dr. Cohen. B
Guest guest
, So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I feel a motherly affection for you as my son (who has MERFF) is also 19. I assumed that most everyone on this list was older and when I read you last post realized you were so young. My heart goes out to you as I know how hard it is to have all your physical problems at such a young age. My son wakes up every day, though, with a smile on his face. What an inspiration! I will definitely add you to my prayer list. You will be in my thoughts so when you're feeling down, know that someone is thinking of you, praying for you and sending warm thoughts your way. Take care, Kim > I saw my internist again today. My throat is continuing to hurt and my > headaches have gotten worse. Guest guest
, Hopefully you will soon start to feel better. Sometimes it takes a few days for the antibiotics to kick in. You are in my prayers. Kathy, grandma to Audrey, 27 mos
Guest guest
Thanks for the advice and helpful hints. I've got some saline nasal spray from another time. I'm crossing my fingers for the antibiotic to do multi good things too!
Guest guest
Thanks Kathy. You are right about the antibiotics..for me it's usually at least 3 doses up to 3 days to notice a change in symptoms and pain.

Guest guest
, I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. I know sinusitis takes a lot out of me. I usually need to go on antibiotics as well. Saline nasal spray usually helps open me up a little and sometimes that can lessen the headache. Hopefully the throat and headache will start feeling better soon. You have been through so much lately, you don't need this! Please keep us updated when you can. Smiles and hugs, a I saw my internist again today. My throat is continuing to hurt and my headaches have gotten worse. He felt that it was sinusitis, and prescribed me an antibiotic and nasal spray. I again had to wait for 2t hours even after calling to ask how he was running. He wrote me a script to get a wheelchair as well. I'm going to work on that before the end of the year. I have an appt with Dr. Falk for Feb. 6th for my dysmotility. I will see Dr. Cohen that same day. Both Dr. Cohen and my PCP want me to see someone at CCF about my severe osteo as it's so rare for someone my age to have it this bad. I think they are both thinking it is caused by the mito, but what can be done when I'm not even 20 yrs old. Could use some extra prayers as I'm feeling rather run down tonight. Thanks. Hope you all had a special Thanksgiving!
Guest guest
If you were sick the last time you used the saline nasal spray, you would be better off getting a new one. Guest guest
I recall reading an article in Medscape about a Dr who studied some of is patients with Chronic Fatigue, but didn't have a diagnosed cause. It turned out that a large percentage of them had a chronic sinus infection. It might be a good thing to re-locate and print out for your Dr. if you feel he is not being agressive enough with treatment. Joe
