I saw a preview of this movie which showed Jesus praying in the

Garden of Gethsemane. It showed Satan taunting Jesus as he prayed

to his father. The Bible doesn't place Satan in the Garden with

Jesus. If you read the accounts at 26:36 and Mark 14:32 you

will see this. I'm not planning to see this movie, and this short

preview makes me wonder how totally accurate it is.

Hi Maureen,

It would be impossible to do a film that was totally accurate.

There are differences as to what happened in the bible, and nothing

goes into enough detail to say exactly what was said or done to make

any movie completely accurate. Mel Gibson used some creative

license to portray the events well in a movie setting. I haven't

seen the movie yet, but did hear him talk about his use of Satan in

the film.

jagan...forgive my words of encouragement.........alas, one always

ends up 'eating' their words, don't they.

I quit the list. enjoy your religious RIGHT forum.....i have no more

patience with forcing this christian crap down my throat.

i believe that, as a pagan, the goddess will find the cure....as will

Mohammed, Buddha, and all the rest of the prophets that were sent to

earth.....just as the christian jesus was....HE was just one among

many. and i believe that HE would be ashamed of you all.

christianity is NOT the only way....it is NOT the RIGHT way...it

just happens to be YOUR way.........and as your bible says.....judge

not lest ye be judged........

and also as your bible says.....love one another as " I " have loved

you.........which means respecting each other.....accepting each

other as WE are..not as YOU believe we should be.

there has been little respect and common courtesy here for quite a

long time. it's a shame that as a people who often find difficulty

finding common courtesy and respect as disabled people..you also

show such a lack of those same qualities to others..even within your

own disablity community.....

i am also sure that as the narrow minded 'christians' that so many of

you seem to be you would also find no acceptance and love in your

christian hearts when I tell you that I am also " GAY " .

so, i've had enough.....good luck to you all and my fervent hope is

that you will one day find the true meaning of christianity...and

love.

---Maggie, I wish you wouldn't quit. It doesn't bother me that you

are gay. I think I already new that from something you said when you

first got on this list. I am a christian and I certainly wouldn't

judge you. Carolyn In PLS-FRIENDS , " maggie "
