And the two supplements above, ALA, and L-carnitine, both reduce your thyroid levels, so that could be the problem. L-carnitine is actually used to help people with hyperthyroidism. Here's some reading if you're interested. <http://autoimmunedisease.suite101.com/article.cfm/l_carnitine_for_gra ves__disease> where it says " L-Carnitine's effects are related to its ability to inhibit the entry of both thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronne (T3) into the cell nucleus. Guest guest
Beth, You are more than likely detoxifying both lugol's and ALA are detoxifies. Are you doing the protocol with breastcancerchoices.or if not you should be. Beth you need to add the supplements at breastcancerchoices these help with detoxifying some of them open pathways that help to utilize the iodine you are consuming. The headaches are more than likely bromide being released from the tissues. You need to do salt flushes at least once a day. If you feel a headache coming on do a salt flush with 1/2 to of real sea salt followed by 32 ounces of water. If it is still there 15 minutes later do another slat flush with 1/4 tsp then drink as much water as you can try for at least 16 ounces Then lay down try and relax when you are able to urinate the headache should be gone. Make sure you are drinking enough water. Take your body weight divide it in half and drink that amount of water in ounces a day. Here are links to the Iodine protocol with their salt flush. 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sea salt in 1/2 glass of warm water then flush with 12 to 16 ounces of water. http://breastcancerchoices.org/drshevin.html If you are using iodine you need to use the whole protocol for it to work effectively. http://breastcancerchoices.org/iprotocol.html Bromide http://breastcancerchoices.org/bromidedetoxsymptomsandstrategies html lots of information on Iodine http://breastcancerchoices.org/iodineindex html From: bszabo67 Here's my current dosing schedule: 4 drops of Lugol's once a day 500 mgs ALA I've been getting headaches almost every day for the last couple of weeks. Guest guest
>>Does anyone have any idea what might be causing them? << What I do when this happens is stop ALL supplements adn readd them back in one at a time as this can often be a reaciton to something you are taking. Sometimes I get them during the day, other times I won't get them until evening. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing them? Thanks.
