Guest guest
Hi All, Well my appointment on Friday with the rheumy was pretty good . We discussed my fears of theMethotrexate and he understands and says that is just our last resort drug he is hoping it don't get that far.We dicussed several options. He told me it is so hard to pin point what to try cause I have 4 different things going on in my back at the same time and what is good for one thing may not work for the other may even make things worse.I have Spinal Bifida occulta which is genetic and have had it since birth in my back and will always cause me pain but I also have osteoarthitis and spondolomyatrophy and the bulging disc with stenosis. He also was very happy I am finally going to see the Endo, he thinks if I finally get on some medication and it will help me lose alittle wait being good for my back.He also brought up the fact he could try some herbal but he said he hates to do that for the simple fact it isn't covered by my insurance, other wise that is the way we would head for now see what that can do but cause of insurance it was a nil.He says we have several options we can try before we throw are hands up and say forget it. So we decided on pain management fo rnow, he used a epidural injection, now he says we are only doing 2 injections of this till we see what it is going to do cause it has some bad side effects and as soon as I feel anything out of the ordinary to call him immediately even at home. Have I told anyone how I love this Dr he is the greatest a rare breed this one.Goodness he hates giving injections and so he uses liquid novacaine to numb the area so you don't feel it and he explains what he is doing while he is doing it. When he gave me the shot he said I'm sorry small pinch and now your going to feel burning and then he said ok I am done are you okay you need to lay down for a bit. lol he was so sweet. I know I have a great Rhuemy always have. So now that I am feeling at ease alittle moremaybe I won't be such a b* & ^% anymore. Like I told the Dr I was just petrifided of that Methotrexate crap. So today my back feels pretty darn good for a change. Saturady it felt horrible but think it was just stuff spreading around. I was told Friday straight home straight to bed don't worry about hubby getting dinner or the dishes or the cleaning you don't do nothing till Sunday Tell your hubby I SAID SO! and if he has a problem he can call me and he and I will have a chat. God I love this Man. He also gave me a script for more darvocet in case I run out and need them. So I had a great Rhuemy visit hope everyone else had a great weekend. Guest guest
Hi Topper, Well I had a LOT of Pain on Saturday. I was in bed and putting Ice on the injection site from the time I got home from his office till Sunday Morning. I didn't eat alot cause I was sleeping alot and when I wasn't I was in pain.Did my hubby cover Kitchen duty heck no all the dishes were left sit for me to do on Sunday when I was allowed to get up and do some real moving. No that is one thing he will not do that is dishes. he will cook but he will also leave me the mess to clean up. Men!!! I also think he is going thru menoupause he has been so pissy lately not sure what his problem is, but that is okay he will keep this shit up till he gets this Irish/german lady P O' d and I will let all guns loose on him Then it will be okay again. LOL I have always said men are pond scum some are the sum on pond scum. This is another one I use to say Men are good for 2 things carrying boxes and sex and some men really suck at sex. I am feeling a bit better the Doctor called me the other day I think Monday to check on me and told me I could only do certain things sweep once maybe twice a week and dishes once a day . I am not allowed to lift more than 10 lbs anymore and a bunch of other things, but I am getting pain in my left hip yet and i run down my left leg and my left butt cheek hurts. LOL . I asked the hubby to rub it but he wouldn't. creep...lol I guess I have to find the heating pad.
