Guest guest
Now what did yu do different to get there? I followed your advice to raise my h.c from 17.5 to 25 and then your further advice to wait another week when they remained unstable and then voila! What amazes me is that I am in the middle of several severe crises all rolled into one at the moment. So there's yer solution girls, multiple-crises and the temps stabilise! LOL Mo ps Val you mentioned before that zinc might help Danny lower his bedtime cortisol. How much?
Guest guest
Mo, I envy your progress. What did you do? What meds are you on and what was your dosing schedule? Oh I don't make progress very often so I take it when I can get it lol All I did was raise from 17.5 to 25 mg, my temps swung wildly for a week and then Val said to sit it out another week and see what happened and this is what happened. Tomorrow is another day, I will report if things remain good. I take 10, 7.5, 5 and 2.5 every four hours with my T3. What is your specific difficulty? Guest guest
About Zinc lowering cortioskl I have not found any solid research, just mentions of th fact that it does lower cortiosl. Thus I woulds not go too overboard with it. I should check his nails for white spots as this is a sign of zinc deficiency, mine have been with me lifelong and recently disappeared once I was on 25 mg a day plus whatever is in my multi. Anyone on the list have any experience of lowering night-time cortisol with zinc? Ta. Mo

Wonder if I need more HC if my period causes a .5-.7 degree change 2) still feeling shitty (tired, depressed, want to sleep in) 3) debating if I should get off my 90mcg TR T3 and go to straight T3. Those issues are my difficulty. I might have 1 good day a month, and when I have a good day, I'm afraid of overspending my energy account so I take it easy. Guest guest
Many people 90MCG is just not enough ot clear out the excess RT3 and may not even be a good maintanance dose. Then I also wonder if the SRT3 is even weaker than Cytomel which would really make that a not so high dose. Whie there are SOME people that can ony need 50MCG many others need 10-125 or even up to 200 and a few 250mcg to clear out the receptors. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Hi Yes that is how the ovulation/fertility thermometers work, it is the change in basal temp that indicates ovulation but I did not know that a period would also have an affect. I have had concerns about this area for some time. Alcohol the night before (even a bed-time toddy) will raise the basal temperature next morning and it would be good (are you listening Val? lol) to have something in the files that explains that there are certain things that will affect the basal temp. then we would not drive ourselves mad trying to figure these changes out. Have you done any research on the .5 - .7 change? If the TR does not work for you I see no reason not to give the other a try, what do you have to lose?
