Hi,

I was not able to attend the conference, but would love to see some handouts

or know the highlights of the conference. Does anyone know if any of the

conference info will be available on line?

Thanks

Hi Joyce,

I attended the Pittsburgh conference (which was excellent BTW)and

they did audio tape all of the sessions - and they are available for

sale. You could look at the list of workshops offered and just get

the ones which seemed most important to you. The company is called

AVEN and their phone # is 1-800-810-TAPE. I don't know about the

availability of the handouts but you could probably call the help

line # that's listed on the apraxia-kids website and find out.

Hope this helps.

Hi, -

Yep, I thought of listing the sessions as well and then we could each do kind

of a synopsis of what the session/materials were for everyone here. Between the

bunch of us, we would probably have covered most (if not all) of the sessions.

If the copyright thing is a problem, that could be the way to go.

hi sherry,

yea I was thinking the same thing about the copyright thing. maybe our

moderators of this listserve can help us out with this. is alright for us to

scan the handouts the conference gave out for the sessions?

I thought when its ok for us to give out handouts I could write down what the

sessions were and people could ask which one they wanted info about. whata ya

think?

doing good, and no I will have more clients thought, instead of 1 I going to 3

clients.

I know about the talking thing, the conference was so jammed packed with

sessions, but it was great!!!!

great to talk to ya

Hi, Joyce -

The conference info is supposed to be made available on apraxia-kids.org at

some point (I have not checked there since last week to see if anything -

nothing as of last Friday). In the meantime, we're trying to figure out a way

to get the handouts online here - scanning or whatever - but need to check out

the copyright issues (if any since this is a non-profit organization but that

needs to be determined anyhow). So, I've written up a little bit from a couple

of the sessions I went to (one on literacy, one on helping our kids develop

narrative speech) - it's under " Robin and everyone - some conference info. "

Keep watching!
