Guest guest
I want to call attention to an article suggesting that IBS may be caused by bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. This is of particular interest to most WLS folks since this is where there are surgical revision made to our functioning. Antibiotics seemed to resolve the problem. Although never diagnosed with IBS, I had typical symptoms which resolved after extensive antibiotic treatment for a long difficult bronchial pneumonia. YMMV http://www.drkoop.com/news/stories/2000/dec/15_ibs.html
