Guest guest
i am easing into the intro but this time minus primary fructose malabsorption offenders (when i get to stage 1)so i am eating chicken, chicken broth, long cooked carrots (concerned about fructose issues), long cooked celery (from the soup, and which i just realized i shouldnt be eating), eggs, avocados, and basically all other meatsmy symptoms are chronic fatigue, frequent constipation (though not always), gas, brain fog, dizziness, mucus - i do not have diarrhea unless i have too much fructose ie like if i drank two Spritesi have not started yogurt, will be starting biokult soon - i tend to tolerate probiotics wellwhen i tried this diet last sumer i think the honey and apples did me in leading to depression leading to giving up etcso i will be 100% sugar free which is honestly hell at this moment - today i did notice that earlier i was not bloated for the first time in a VERY long time - i did become bloated eventually later in the dayi am essentially on day 1 and trying to hang in - prospect of no real fruit or honey is an unpleasant thought - i will look forward to trying some super ripe banana fairly soonmy experience is that flagyl and my original attempt at scd are the only things that reduce the bacteria in my system enough for the fatigue and brain fog to go away - i'm hoping i get there againHi Spencer,Do you have any issues with tolerating Fats? Or do you have Nausea? If not- I don't really see a risk. How many avocados are you eating? How long have you been on the diet? What are you eating these days?Jodi
Guest guest
jodah thank you - ah you are right re biokult! i totally forgot about that - i will hold off and do yogurt only - good calli am concerned about ghee and casein sensitivitybut i will investigateHi Spencer,Well since you are thinking about BioKult.. Which you know on SCD that Bifidum bacteria are illegal.. Biokult contains illegal strains including Bifidum species.Have you looked at doing GAPS intro? It might be a good guide line for you especially since you need to be easy with the fructose malabsorption offenders.I think if avocados work for you- you should stick with them. Also, maybe you should not eat the carrots and try something like zucchini's. I still cannot tolerate cooked carrots all that well. Also, in your situation I would hold off on Candida offenders (like banana) and if you add dollops of ghee into things you will find you are super satiated.Jodi
