Guest guest
Topper I agree that sugar which is natural and our bodies know how to break it down is best. I just have one cup of coffee per day, half of it is decaf now, and use sugar. I was looking into Stevia — what is your take on that? On the Basal Body Temp, since being on T3 one month now, my morning basal temp has been right about 98 to 98.2 – used to be 97.2 to 97.4 — does that mean my meds are now “adjusted”? I get lab work in a week as a follow up. Thanks, Sue Nutrisweet is Aspartame which has been causing some folks to be misdiagnosed as having MS. Stopping the use of the aspartame solved the problem, the people didn't have MS at all, it's an allergic reaction triggered by the aspartame. Splenda, better? No. How human bodies respond to it varies. Most folks pass the stuff through as undigestible, calorie free. Some folks are able to break it down to it's base components, sugar and chloride, has calories. A small percentage go into anaphylaxis and some of those die. Sugar, in moderation, is far healthier, it's only 16 calories per teaspoon. Topper () On Mon, 10 Apr 2006 10:56:41 -0400 " Amber Sewell " writes: Yes....nutrasweet. Guest guest
I've heard a lot about Stevia... even have some packets of it here... but I've not worked up the courage to try it yet... it's a naturally grown plant. Folks in the homesteading group that I'm in.. some of them grow their own as their sole sweetener. Maybe I'll give it a shot one of these days! hehehehe Your basal temp coming up.. that is definitely good.. It shows that your body is able to increase it's metabolism and keep your temp up.. that means better digestion and absorption of food, better brain function... tons of things.... You're heading in the right direction.... how is your resting pulse rate doing??? How are you feeling?? I'll be eager to hear how your labs come out... you'll share, right??? (don't forget the ranges! hehehehe) Topper () On Tue, 11 Apr 2006 08:46:56 -0500 jytdtp writes: Topper I agree that sugar which is natural and our bodies know how to break it down is best. Guest guest
Hi Topper, I will definitely share my labs complete with ranges..i get to have them twice, yipee lol.. My endo is asking for them since the T3 change so I will have that drawn Friday and my GP is doing complete bloodwork next week for my physcial...so I should get a good picture of what’s going on that way... I feel pretty good --- I realize I have been burned out and pushing myself — t aking the good days in exchange for the sh#tty days but I ain’t gonna do that anymore — I am gonna shoot for “consistency” **gasp** and ***bigger gasp*** -- doing LESS... The hardest part will be getting my brain to cooperate since there’s always “so much to do” -- guess I will have to learn to delegate even better My resting pulse is about 72, my resting BP is 120/70. My adrenals and sex hormones are the stuff out of whack and I see now where the “superwoman” “supermon” syndrome has gotten me – oh well, at 48, I have plenty of time to get it right now, with rest, relaxation, and letting stuff go............
