HEllo and welcome! My baby is 3 months old also and wearing the dbb for bcf.

He hates them too. But keeping his legs bundled seems to help sometimes, if he

can't move them freely he sort of forgets they are tied together.

help with DBB

Hello,

I have just joined this group and am looking for some advice...my

daugher is 3 months old with bilateral club feet. She got through

the casts without any problem and never minded them. However, she is

very unhappy in the DBB which she has had for about 2 1/2 weeks now.

It seems to be more frustration and annoyance than anything else as

she hasn't had any blisters, sores, etc. As soon as the brace comes

off, she is instantly happier. It's so hard to see her go through

this. Any ideas on how we can help Audrey adjust? We would appreciat

it!

Thank you,

Bess

Hi and welcome,

So sorry you are having trouble.

If babies are uncomfortable in the brace, the most common reason

seems to be that the bar is too narrow. The width of the bar between

the inside edges of the shoes' heels should be the width of her

shoulders. OFten once people change that, the baby is instandly

happier. Do you have a red two piece adjustable bar?

Here is a site with some tips:

Hope things get better and that you get some good input here. My

daughter is 3 1/2 years old, still wearing the brace at night, and

doing great. We are thrilled with the success of the method.

Hang in there,
