Guest guest
I have to mayor questions which bothers me a lot. I have health problems for the last 15 years (I´m 37) and I went (as many of you) to differents docs without results. 5 years ago (when the antidepressive medication didn´t work) I insisted to check my dream because I always woke up very unrefresh. The test show a very bad sleep patern, without REM phase, and becouse of this it was normal to feel so bad (but the doctor can´t say me why I had this problem or what I could do to solve it), the sleeping hours don´t rest me and I had a lot of muscle tension, so the doctor gave me Clonazepan (Klonopin-USA-Rivotril-U.E.-) 2mg. It was fantastic, I thought I was cured, and I lived a marvelus mounth like never before, but this great improved began to finish, and a mount later my situation was the same like always was. Now I want to waned of clonopin (currently I´m on 0,5mg) becouse I don´t belive it´s helping me, but is so hard, and the last try to reduce, put me in a very bad situation, so I went back to my 0,5 pill. In the meantime (when I was on clonacepan) I tried other things like melatonin, 5-HTP and Gaba but I haven´t goods results; muscular tension, so many movements in bed, weird sensations and unrefresh dream. I don´t konw if there are incompatibilities between clonazepan and the other stuff and I would like to hear another experiences to get a deep and refresh dream, becouse I know it´s esential for me. The second question is about my unstables temps in spite of taking HC. I took up to 32mg( 10/10/7,5/5). I begun taking Hc 7 mounth ago, incresing the amount till 20mg (I didn´t want to pass this amount) but in the last two mounths I incresed up to 32mg due to a very import exam I have made the 6 of october. Then I began to reduce and now I am taking 25 (10/7,5/7,5) and I want to go down to 20 mg maximun becouse I don´t want to hurt my adrenals. Overall, I have improved a litle my energy, mood, relax, but I don´t undersant why my temps never got stable (I have recorded all my temps in Dr ring´s table). I know an unestable temps means too little Hc, but I was 6 mounths rising it and I never have had a stable temps and keep the Hc raise scare me. If anyone want to have a look to my excel files I would be glad to send it by email. A final question is to know if is posible I had hurt my adrenal taking 32,5 mg Hc for 2 mounths. Please any comments are wellcome. Fran.
Guest guest
First have you had labs done before you started taking HC? Can you send them to the list WITH ranges or me at my personal email artisticgroomer @ jfwebs.com withotu the spaces. Also have you had thyroid labs? Did they mention possible Sleep Apnea? Sleep apnea is when your throat coses during sleep and you actually stop breathing for a count of 10 or more! It not only affects the oxygen you are getting but also causes tiny adrenaline surges all night long keeping you from ever attaining REM sleep and getting the good rest you need. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Fran-- I haven´t sleep apneas, no legs sindrome, only I don´t reach at the deepest phases of the dream. I did 3 diferents saliva test (all before Hc and armour) with very diferents results (??????): Saliva test 1 (06/02/2006) Testosterone 75.7 pg/ml (26-145) DHEA 269 (37-336) Cortisol (7:30 a.m.) 3.28 (1-8) Saliva Test 2 (11/4/2006) cortisol (4x-morning/noon/afternoo/night) 2.9 (7-10) 0.6 (3-6) 1.1 (2-4) 0,8 <1.5 Saliva and spot blood test 3 (2/7/2007) Estradiol 1.4 (0.8-2.2) Progesterone 72 (15-100) Testosterone 460 (44-148) DHEAS 24.2 (2-23) Cortisol mornig 6.9 (3.7-9.5) noon 2.3 (1.2-3) evening 0.4 (0.6-1.9) night 0.6 (0.4-1) FT4 1.3 (0.7-2.5) FT3 2.7 (2.5-6.5) TSH 2.1 (0.5-3) TPO 22 (0-150) I have another regular blood test and all is always between the range. There must be a mistake in test 3 with the testosterone and it have no sense the cortisol results in diferents tests. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
Looks liek your AM cortisol is low in every test as between 7-8 AM (when you usually wake) it should be at the top of the range. Though your T4 is only a little low your T3 is in the dirt. Are you on thyroid meds? How about magnesium? Iwould try 400-500mg magnesium at bedtime as this may also help. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
About temps not stabilizing. How long have you held the dosages? I read the web STTM and hold ever thyroid dossage over 2 weeks and firstly I raised HC every week till 17.5mg, after this I did it more slow. How did you increase to 3.5 grains Armour wiht unstable temps? As I increased Hc I did it same with Armour. Have you had other symptoms while doing this? Not especially, some days I feel good and others bad (the regular way) but overall I was a little better Your cortiosl labs do not show NEAR bad enough to need over 30MG HC Thoguh some folkd do need that much with not too bad labs it is unlikely I don´t know, have another look to Test 1, the cortisol score was very very low. I don´t know what to think becouse the very very differents results in differents test. Have you ever had Aldosterone tested? Yes, It was ok, in the middle of the range. Are you taking sea salt to aid your adrenal function? Yes, a couple of weeks but it didn´t make any difference. Val, ask me if you need more information, I have a lot but i dón´t know what can be importan. Fran.
Guest guest
I recommeded magnesium as it si a relaxing mineral. Muscles need it to relax and it releives tension in the body and aids in sleep. Almost everyone with hypothyroidism has low magnesium. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
