I have been a certified diver since 1987. My husband is a dive master and that is how we met! I always ate 2 bananas and a chicken breast before diving. I haven't gone diving in 6 years, but am really looking forward to it this spring. Glad you mentioned the protein supplements, that will work better than the chicken breasts would now. I will " banana and protein load " for 2 days before! ) Vicki in CA

Guest guest
<<I buy a can of powder choc (12 servings for $10.99), a 4 pack of pre-mixed choc ($9.99) and one choc almond bar and choc peanut butter ($2.99 ea). I come home, blend me up a serving from the powder stuff....one word --> NASTY! Bars ---> NASTY! Pre-mixed ---> NASTY!>> WOW!! Where in the WORLD did you pay that kinda money for Carb Solutions??? Egads!!! WalMart here sells it for $8 for powder, 4 pack of premade is $7, and the bars are $1.97!!! I have to try this Pro Score 100 someday. I LOVE the Carb Solutions (well, I havent tried the powder yet...I have it, though) and if Pro Score tastes better, that would be VERY enjoyable! Michele...do you have samples of ProScore available? Guest guest
I'm with you , nothing beats Pro Score Yuck on the Carb Solutions! Well after a week waiting for my shipment of Pro-Score 100 chocolate to arrive I wake up yesterday morning to find two things: I'm out of my Pro-Score and Bill did NOT order from my regular source! Here I was yesterday looking for 's phone number to find out the tracking # and Bill looks at me confused asking who was and what she had to do w/ my supps! Ack, just the same he was referred to if I ran out post-op so that he could contact her and order more supps. So where are my 20 2-lb cans (his 14th month dating anniversay present to me)of chocolate Pro-Score 100? Found out who Bill ordered it from, not only have I never heard of them BUT it's on back order! Stew...grrr...grrr....stew... So yesterday I go about on a mission to find me something other than the EAS crap I have boxed up to donate to (yeah, still haven't shipped it out). I immediately decide upon Carb Solutions since everyone has been raving about the drinks! I buy a can of powder choc (12 servings for $10.99), a 4 pack of pre-mixed choc ($9.99) and one choc almond bar and choc peanut butter ($2.99 ea). I come home, blend me up a serving from the powder stuff....one word --> NASTY! Bars ---> NASTY! Pre-mixed ---> NASTY! Now of course it's not nasty compared to other supps that are out on the market but it doesn't come even close to my creamy, delicious and yes, borderline orgasmic Pro-Score 100 chocolate. I will buy more pre-mixed bottles of the stuff so I can use them on my dives since I find I require more protein on the day before, day of and day after scuba diving and it's not practical to bring a blender nor can I blend at a dive site. I just wish Pro-Score 100 had pre-mixed chocolate drinks and don't suggest the fruits drinks...I am like so burned out on the fruit drinks that just the thought of them makes me want to heave. I'm glad many of you enjoy Carb Solutions...leaves more Pro-Score 100 for me! heheheh O

I stayed away from solid food before each dive since I didn't want any unexpected gas and feeling that gas expand and cause pressure coming up from 60+ ft. I found a significant difference of protein loading and not loading just at 15 ft. Definitely am not willing to test the theory of not loading on a deeper dive, 15 ft was enough proof for my body. When we go to Maui in May, I'm gonna complete my PADI Adventure and Advanced Diver. I already have high altitude under my belt and we have plans for night, UW navigation, UW photography, UW naturalist, deep and wreck dives while there. In August when Bill and I go to pick up my daughter in So Cal (she spends summers there w/ her dad), we're hoping to dive either Catalina or Anacapa (from Ventura). I can see you being a diver and your husband a divemaster.....I've found divers being some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting.
