Guest guest
I am not sure Jo has still gotten straight information from her surgeon on what he did. As I read it she said she originally had 4.5 feel bypassed. That doesn't seem that distal. In the BPD/DS, the surgeons typically bypass 50-60% of the measurement. The food limb is usually 40-50%. I know my food limb is 250cm which means 250 cm at least are the bile limb. That figures to about 8 feet or so bypassed. I wonder what he actually did to her. Does she have common channel measurements???? It is just scarey to think some Doctors just do what they want without basing it on research or precident. Procedures have to be updated or developed but carefully and purposefully. Dawn
