We cut through the seam and either side of it in a circle, there is a picture at the following link:- http://www.talipes.co.uk/photo.html We used a leather hole punch and just kept punching holes around the area that we wanted. The blister was in the middle of the hole by the time we finished. You could also then see if the heel was moving up. I then sewed a couple of reinforcement stitches through where the seam was to make sure it never unravelled. He has had them on 3 months and they are still fine, he has had no blisters since and it has now healed. We also put a sticky covering in the heel area, to try and soften the area. I am actually dreading getting a new pair of shoes as these are just fine now!!!!!!!!!!!
