Hi Everyone. As the subject says, I'm new to this board and I guess

I'll just give you my history/story.

I'm a 49 yr old female and went to a new GYN to see about possibly

being in menopause. Well much to my surprise she actually listened to

my symptoms, which I have been having for at least the last 15 years

but have always been too young to have any kind of hormone problems in

the many doctors I've seen over the years. Even though I've had a

partial hysterectomy. Go figure! So they did saliva and blood

tests. The results were as follows: I actually had too much estrogen

but my progesterone was 8 pg/ml with optimal being 100-500 when the

estrogen is within normal range mine was only .5 being too high. My

Cortisol which the test was taken in the morning was 2.2, with norms

being 3.7 - 9.5, so she said I had adrenal burnout. With the blood

tests they showed that my thyroid was within norm ranges in the T4 was

1.1, TSH 1.48 and T3 303, but the Thyroid Peroxidase was 129 which was

high. I have been on a natural progesterone/testosterone cream for

the last month and do feel better but seem to hit a wall around 2 p.m

so she now recommends I try Armour. I already take meds for

depression, high blood pressure and high triglycerides which in all of

my reading can be part of all my hormone problems. I am hesitant to

take another medication and just wanted to see if any other women

especially have had the same experience. Sorry this was so long.
