Guest guest
Sorry Val I think I am not explaining my self, I have no symptoms from the t3 just terrible hypo symptoms. In August I was on 20 mg cortef and 100 mg t3 and was so well. At the end of August I upped T3 to 125mg cortef still 20 mg and around the same time had a major stress with a builder. My symptoms got worse and my temps went haywire temps for 18 to 21 aug were 96.6 94.9 97.0 95.8 I was feeling a lot of pain again. Dr P told me to lower t3 i did over few days to 60 then told to up cortef and t3 went up to 160 mg t3 and 25 mg cortef 11 days. temps stabalised for 3 days then he told me as I still felt terrible hypo aches etc to come off t3 over 3 days and build hc up to 40 I did over 12 days. Since then 1st October I have been on maximum of 60 mg t3 a lot of the time no t3 and various levels of cortef from 40 mg most of october 35 1/2 then 32 1/2 now back up to 35 due to blood pressure dropping on standing. I also started sea salt 16th nov. I ve confused myself so much now I don't know what to ask LOL I am sure i need a lot of t3 so why when I am on none at the moment have my temps risen? I am just so unsure what to do and feel the constant upping and lowering of cortef and t3 can not be goof for me. Sorry for the length and rambling but any advice would be appreciated. Caroline Happy Thanks Giving wrote: >>I still cant understand how t3 pooling could happen<< When you take T3 and the temps do not go up at all, or worse yet, go down, it means it is not gettign to the cells and is pooling in the blood. WOth really weak adrenals some folks have to start wiht 2.5-5mcg T3. EVEN with HC as it si juts more metabolism than they can tolerate. Yu have a couple choices. Stay on JUST HC for a month or so to build some adrneal reserves then try T3 slowly or try ot slow it down and see if you tolerate it better going even slower wiht it, -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ --------------------------------- Be a better sports nut! Guest guest
OK Needing alot of T3 adn being able tyo tolerate it are two differnt things. It sounds to me liek you crashed your adrneals which sucked up all yiur cortisol reserves. To UNDO this you need to find a good dose of HC where you feel nto too bad and hold while you EVER SO SLOWLY build the T3 up again. I mean in 5mcg increments. 10 if you are lucky. Every time you are buiolding the T3 back up I think you have gone too much too fast and it demolishes your cortisol reserves again. hen they are lwo, it doesn;lt take much. I know it is hard ot go that slwo wwhen you feel so bad but there isnt; much choice as your body will olny tolerate tiny increases. Try mocing the T3 up MUCH slower btu say every 3 days do a TINY increase. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
