Guest guest
Thank you . Wow - your story is amazing. Are you 100% well now? I hope so. Thank you for the help you give to those of us on this message board. I think I told you the last time I posted that I was going to a new doctor (actually a PA) and you said it would be hard to find someone who would treat the adrenals. Well, you were right - she (like my endo) does not believe in adrenal fatigue. So should I stay away from salt? I thought from what I have read here that you should not work on your thyroid until you get your adrenals up to snuff (?). I had open heart surgery (mitral valve repair) 4 years ago and have gained 15 pounds since then and have never been able to lose weight until cutting out sugar and wheat and fruit (which is so hard to cut out fruit). I also have had a lot of personal stressors - Mom's death, uncle, grandmother, etc. over the last 6 years. I have a lot of belly fat - in fact, it is a very thick belly fat and my stomach protrudes - just like my Dad's did - I believe he had hypothyroidism - he died of a heart attack at age 63. So no salt? When I get the results of my saliva test, will you help me with the next step, because my docs certainly cannot help me. Thanks ! Happy Thanksgiving. Guest guest
- Are you still on BP medicines? You are saying that I could go on a diuretic-type BP med for at least a while to help control things - do you think I will need to be on this forever? Thanks. Guest guest
No while I have healed some things, I have new things that have come up, like I am Diabetic, and most these things are from long term damage form YEARS of Synthroid. I also have adrenal problems with fluctuating levels of cortisol. I would never tell ANYONE to avoid salt! Avoid refined salt and processed foods that contain salt YES, but natural sea salt is very good for you and the body needs sodium. Let's wait and see how bad your adrenals are. If you have high cortisol aws I suspect you might, you can start thyroid with that. It is really low cortisol you need ot treat before starting thyroid. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
