Guest guest
It was advertised on TV for a long time showing people who were fat around the belly and saying that this is due to " stress " and how " stress " makes us fat and how this was due to high cortisol levels and that their product " Relora " reduced cortisol. It was on a lot a couple of years ago and I haven't seen this commerical for a few years now. Re: Relora good for adrenals and sleep? >>You said this was a great article (on Nov 12--I'm a touch behind!). I found the below info on RELORA, but I seem to remember folks saying bad things about it. What's up with this? Do you and others recommend it for low cortisol? Do you think it would help w/sleep if one is troubled by low cortisol?<< I have no idea what is in it so really can;t comment. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
, That was a product that contained Relora, I think it was called Relocor. This product is the pure Relora. Guest guest
Relora is trademark name made by Next Pharmaceuticals. It has a proprietary blend of Magnolia officinalis and Phellodendron arnurense. Many companies sell it under their own brand names. Swanson is one, I got mine from a company called Nature's Vision but it is the same....pure Relora. You know by the trademark on the bottle which legally they are required to have. So any product that advertises " Relora " is pure as long as it doesn't have anything else added in. Check the label though. What may happen though is some companies have Relora as part of the ingredients as well as a host of other things. Relacore has magnolia bark in it too but it also has a host of vitamins and other things. I am looking at my bottle right now and notice it even has a fungus in it. They also have added DHEA.I only took it once, but the Relora I had taken a few times until I realized it was messing me up and causing my daytime lows to be even lower. Guest guest
I am not Val, however, Relora is for HIGH cortisol. You do not want to take it for low cortisol...even if you are like me and have low a couple of times during the day and high at night because it messes up your rhythm (I found out the hard way). The main ingredient is Magnolia Bark. http://www.fitfaq.com/magnolia-bark.html I imagine for those people who are high all day and night it is good because it lowers cortisol so if that is what you are trying to do, it might work very well for you. If you have low cortisol though, it will lower it further. I have several bottles of Relora, Corti-Slim as well as Relacore (it has Magnolia too but also a host of other things) because I thought I had high cortisol due to my tummy fat and other symptoms but it turns out I am really low (stage 7) instead. That is the problem with these mass marketed " solutions " ...they don't address the full picture and the theme that if you have mid section fat you have excess cortisol isn't always accurate as it can be a number of things...including low cortisol like in my case.
