Hi ,

Hope I can help you in some way by telling you my story! I am a 31

y.o. stay at home mom of two school aged kids (6 and 7). I started

my life change at the weight of 243 on May 1st of this year, but the

highest I have ever weighed was 256 at the beginning of this year.

The death of my sister in law due to complications of morbid obesity

in April of this year is what started me on my path to change. I

love the fact that I am losing weight, however, health is my

ultimate goal. I want to be here for my kids for a very long time,

I want to know my grandkids, and great grandkids, not leave them at

47 as my SIL did. I have to admit, though, seeing the scale move

down, and being able to buy smaller, cuter clothes are nice

motivators as well! I am at 223 at the moment, and I am reaching my

goals by eating smarter and exercising pretty much every day. I

have been trying to fill my plate more with veggies, fruits, and

whole grains, and less with meats and fat. When I have meat, I

choose the leanest cuts possible, and truly look at that food group

as the side dish rather than the main course. I eat three meals and

typically three snacks a day, when awake, I try not to go more than

3-4 hours without at least a little something. I cut out regular

soda completely, except on the rare occasion that it is needed to

bring my blood sugar up quickly to recover from a hypoglycemic

episode (I am diabetic). I drink 4 liters (or more) of water a

day. I get in physical activity of some sort EVERY day, even if it

is just some simple stretching and a walk around the block. I have

the Sansone WATP videos here, and use them when I cannot get

to the gym. I try to lift weights three times a week, there are

some weeks I don't get that in. I am not counting calories, just

trying to make the best choices in a given sitouation. I don't

always succeed, I slipped up last night and really overate bad,

greasy food (Mcs). I have paid for that mistake all day

today, hopefully I will learn from it and not make the mistake

again, lol! Please let me know if there are any other questions I

can answer for you. Take care!

Sharon
