Guest guest
Hi , I have a son with a right clubfoot, and I always say when we have more children, I would not be bothered if they all had clubfeet. We had no clue what Talipes was until he was born, and never knew anyone who had it. Things can be so much worse, and our son may have spurts with lots of appointments, but is is just spurts. His father and I both work full time and still find a way to get him everything he needs. He did relapse at age 2, and at that time we switched to the Ponsieti method and he had 2 more casts put on, and he is doing good again. My son is a " normal " 2 year old, he does everything just as other 2 year olds would, except he wears special shoes to bed (DBB). What area are you from? If you mention it I'm sure someone could tell you a good doctor to call for advice. Since we prefer a Ponsieti Method doctor, we have to drive about 2 hrs to see Dr. Herzenberg in Baltimore, MD. because we do not have one in our area, but it is well worth it! Who knows maybe you will have a great doctor in your area. Good luck. Michele Collin 8-24-

If not, I have read about the clinic in NY and it sounds as if there are great doctors there. I do not know much about the " Ponsieti Method " but I discern it is the least intrusive, and that would fit with our philosophies of alternative meds as much as humanly possible. I would love if someone would take a look at his pictures and tell me what thier thoughts are. I dont know much but from what I have researched so far, his feet do not " look " too bad. Thanks, I am glad I found this group. I am amazed at how there are lists for everything. A blessing of the modern age.

Guest guest
Hi Jami- You can send me pictures of the feet to hwray98@.... Also do you have any history at this point to how his feet have been treated. You mentioned casts in another posts, but was casting done from birth or did it just start. Are you adopting from the states or from another country??? Have ANY surgeries been preformed??? > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: nosurgery4clubfoot >Subject: Re: advice on adoption a child with club feet >Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 21:55:43 -0000 > > " What area are you from?
