Although I am still learning my doctor has told me not to be concerned that

Landon isn't doing all the things other " normal " babies are doing. He did not

roll over until almost 8 months. He can not sit up without assistance and even

then he wobbles. We call it the Landon wobble because no matter what he is

doing he always has a bit of a wobble going on. The doctor said that it is

highly likely related to the deafness. She also said it probably won't go away

when he gets the CI.

No matter what though there are lots of kids out there with balance issues that

are hearing. I myself was one of those kids that always fell over and bumped

into things. Who's to say its not just a like mother like son thing.

As long as the kids are not seriously hurting themselves or others we should

just try to laugh it off.

I was concerned about him walking but again the doc said unless he has not

walked by 24 months, then everything is fine. He is only 10 months and will be

getting his CI on April 4th. We found this out this morning.

YEAH!

It feels like we waited forever, but really it was only 6 months.

Just remember that we were given these HOH/Deaf children because we can handle

it.

Although I am not the strongest believer in God, s/he does have some reason for

blessing us all with these amazing special kids.
