Guest guest Posted January 17, 2001 Report Share Posted January 17, 2001 I went to visit my PC this morning to get a referral, and hopefully a supporting letter, and I was prepared to meet some resistance, and boy was I surprised. My PCP was so incredibly supportive. I asked for a referral which he did on the spot, and then I asked for a letter supporting the surgery. He said no problem, and had even dictated it before I left the office. Also, when I was leaving, he came out to the front, and suggested some blood work (colesterol levels, etc.) that could act as additional ammunition for his letter to get the approval from UHC.
