Hi Ging,

I understand about your fear of Prednisone (Medrol), and I will admit that

it can be damaging to our bodies. But to answer your question, I took

Prednisone 60mg every day for 4 yrs. I actually think that it began to make

my symptoms worse instead of helping like it did in the beginning, so this

yr I have been able to wean myself down to 2.5mg every other day. I will be

completely off it in another couple of months (I hope..doctors are not sure

of that). But, my teeth and bones are fine. My skin is thin and more aged

looking than it should be, which is not pleasing at all. I did manage to

lose the weight I had gain from taking it. Mood swings were a b----, but I

don't have those any more. If I had been told in the beginning ALL the side

effects, I would never have taken it like it was prescribed. The way you are

taking it (dose pak) is much safer with fewer and less damaging side

effects. I know how devastating this is for you since you had the chance to

enjoy a little remission, but don't let this get to you (easily said, I

know), but our mental state can make it worse, or it can make it easier to

deal with. I'll pray with you that we all will soon have our

remission....forever. :) You take care.

Hugs,

Elaine
