RE: Coffee Enema

I have been thinking of trying this for years but have been confused by the

various things I have read. I have some questions, Delores. Why does she

recommend Folgers which uses pesticides over an organic coffee?

Also, you do your enemas more frequently than I have ever heard of. How long

have you been doing twice a week, what kind of good things have you seen

since doing them, and were/are you very toxic because you do them so

frequently? Also, what do you do to restore the flora? How long does the

enema process take from start to finish? (seems complicated from what I have

read but it could be just me ;)

Thank you.

Re: Coffee Enema

I am a big believer in the coffee enema. I first read about it in Dr

Sherry

' books. She says that the gut contains half of our immune and detox

systems and that even if you are allergic to coffee you can do the coffee

enema. She IS allergic to coffee and she uses the coffee enema because the

phytonutrients in the coffee go directly from the colon veins to the liver

through the enterohepatic circulation where they stimulate synthesis of

glutathione and result in releasing detoxifying bile. She says it

supercharges your detox system. She recommends Folgers fully caffeinated

regular coffee. I have been using the coffee enemas at least a couple

times

a week and the far infrared sauna at least one morning a week for a couple

of years. I always take my " detox cocktail " with those. My detox

cocktail consists of R lipoic acid (200mg), acetyl l carnitine 500mg, NAC

500mg (which your body uses to make glutathione), Co Q10 (100mg), and at

least 2000mg Vitamin C. These amino acids are best utilized on an empty

stomach. It really makes me feel BETTER! Remember, the coffee enema is not

a cleansing enema but a detox enema (it only goes into your sigmoid

colon).

Dr Sherry is in environmental medicine (Syracuse NY). She is very

knowledgeable about toxins we acquire from just living, eating and

breathing. I read in one of her books that Folgers coffee is one of the

least contaminated/toxic coffees. Of course, organic would probably be the

best. I follow several of her precepts because they have the ring of truth

to me. Our world is so toxic. She says you can safely use the coffee enema

almost every day. (I think she actually says every day but I don't use it

that often). After following her suggestions (one of which was to purchase

a far infrared sauna) I had the toxic metals test done by Metametric Lab

near Atlanta. My levels of every toxic metal was almost nonexistent. My

only elevated levels were selenium and magnesium which I was taking. She

also says a lot of toxins are stored in our body fat which sweating in the

far infrared sauna assists with ridding us of. When you sweat, some toxins

are excreted in sweat while some end up back in the bloodstream and

subsequently the liver. The detox cocktail supposedly helps to assist the

liver with getting rid of these.

If I'm feeling well and busy, I take breaks of a few weeks occasionally.

You only use 2 cups which only reaches the sigmond colon. I take Jarrow

probiotics every day.

You asked how long does it take? I bring 4 cups of water and 2 tablespoons

of regular coffee to a boil. Simmer approx 2 minutes. Let stand covered

overnight. Next morning, warm to comfortable temp and use 2 cups, hold 10

minutes. Then repeat. I try to take the detox cocktail before the coffee

enema. I believe it has headed off colds and just plain not feeling well.

It probably takes about 45 minutes to use the coffee enema.

I was really paranoid about trying it the first time but was pleasantly

surprised how easy it was and how much better I felt.

Thank you! Great information.

I think I will try it eventually.

Yes, infrared saunas are supposed to be really good for mercury detox. I

noticed just being in any heat where I sweat a lot I feel better afterward

and also after taking a shower because we can detox through the skin.

The enema thing scares me a little...not sure I would know what I am doing.

I have been to websites that show the bag and how you have to raise it and

all that...

I will get there eventually. :) I know a lot of people swear by them, I have

just been a little skittish.

Thanks again.
