Hi everyone,

I wanted to thank everyone on list for for both posting and emailing me

directly. It is wonderful being so supported. As I am just recovering from a

bowel obstruction and am planning major surgery I don't have much " space " to be

online a lot...

I was wondering if anyone has preparation tips for surgery? Hospital stay? Any

questions I should ask? Pitfalls that anyone encountered in the hospital while

being on the diet?

Or just any tidbits of wisdom to share would be graciously accepted.

I wanted to thank everyone from the depths of my heart.

I have been on the diet since Sept 2007 (I actually really looked it up this

time!) The SCD has been the most amazing journey for me to find some respite in

the storm of Crohn's. The SCD has taken me on an adventure to regain my health

thus regaining hope. I am truly, always, utterly and profoundly grateful to Dr

Haas, Elaine G and all of the countless volunteers (pointing right at you

Marilyn and Gay) that have helped me on this ride. I could not of done all of

this without all of you, without the SCD community.

I truly did not think I would be -here- in this situation.. Having my insides

scarred so badly. I hope and pray that this surgery will gift me with new

freedom of health and renewal to get over this awful disease. I have hope and

faith it will work so I hope you all pray for me and send me good vibes.

Much love and gratitude.

My surgery is schedules Monday May 11th with a Miralax prep the day before.

That morning of surgery I also get an epidural.

I will have my brother post updates about me. His name is aka Jodi's

brother)

Thanks again..

Jodi herself.
