Guest guest
I know this diet is so hard but honestly, I felt the same way you did in the beginning. After 6 months on the diet it's gotten so much easier. This is just a suggestion, but you might want to try to take all artificial colors (like Skittles) out of his diet and see if his behavior improves. I've also heard a lot of kids are having a bad reaction to Fritos. I have quite a few recipes if you'd like me to forward them to you. There's a good recipe for bread made with cornstarch. Withdrawals can be mild to severe. My son had a really rough time when I took away the gluten. Hang in there and know you're doing what's best for your child. Guest guest
Awe.. Sweetie DONT GIVE UP. If you are seeing even a glimmer of change then chances are you're right. and it is very hard. What kinds of foods does you're son like? If you haven't already get some of Bette Hagmans cook books and the Special Diets for Special kids book. We live from those. I have a couple of pickie eaters at my house and have been able to cope with them and found some creative ways to get around them. If you need some help email me at ambergrace@... and I'll be happy to share my recipes with you. When you go away can you get in a bed and breakfast or a extended stay hotel that has cooking facilities? That is what we are doing when we go to florida in November. They are worth the little extra you have to pay for the peace of not hearing them cry for the foods they can't have. Are Quaker Cocoa Blasts safe? I don't remember seeing them on our list. Hope I can help. Hang in there. IT IS WORTH IT! Amber > We are new to the diet (about 2 weeks) and it is very hard! (I'm sure > you know that!)
