Guest guest
I joined the group today and wish I had know about all of you a long time ago. Had an ablation done on 8/10 at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. Was told not to expect miracles overnight but the DR insisted that I was an ideal candidate....and I tried to share his optimism. Well here it is 2 weeks and 3 days later, am still on my old dose of flecainide (wasn't controlling the AFIB before and is still not helping). I can remember 2 whole days in this period of time when I felt wonderful. Other than that, grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I was home from work yesterday with a 5 1/2 hour episode. Was actually scheduled for a 1pm cardioversion until things settled down at 11am. Am in AFIB as I write this. The DR is now adding a 2x per day dose of diltiazem (30mg each). I'm starting to feel like a drug addict. Can anyone tell I'm very frustrated?
